On Being An Outdated Game

Anyone who watched the very first semi final of the ICC WORLD CUP 2019 IND vs NZ ? Were you the one cheering for your team? Were you the one praying to GOD to make your team  reach the finals? You were ! right ?Yet cricket is nowadays stated as an outdated game.

In a game such as cricket ,a single ball can change the scenario of the game.Now if you are an Indian fan, you might be disheartened when Rohit sharma, K.LRahul & Virat Kohli went back to the pavilion for just 1. Moreover you must have gone shattered when Jadeja's catch was taken &our dearest Dhoni got run out.The partnership between Ravindra Jadeja & M.S Dhoni was going marvelous and in no time they generated a spark of hope among all of us.Every ball  delivered ties us to our chairs. There is enthusiasm & anticipation because the ball delivered could be a dot,a single,a four, a six, an out & so on. A single over can change the whole game and the probability of wining team can be flipped.When both the teams playing have almost eqivalent talent then the game becomes a mind game and is won by putting mental pressure on one another.

Having said  that I must admit that there are some  rules in this game which must be altered, e.g. the umpire can not give a batsman out if the fielder does not appeal and the umpire is allowed a certain amount of  discretion ,  they are made the "sole judge"  & that their determination are made absolute.The  duration of the game  is also long & it takes almost a full day to watch a  match.

So nowadays people are more liking the T20 format of cricket, firstly it gets complete in 6 hours of time & secondly its very happening full of sixes , fours & outs.People have great time watching it.

Which format of cricket do you want to watch ? According to me the t20 matches are more entertaining but the aura of ODI is totally amazing as it is played between different countries where each team represent their nation and it is a matter of pride for everyone.

Its greatest example is yesterday's ICC WORLD CUP finals ENG VS NZ,what a great match ! greatest of them all. England won it but in my opinion New Zealand are the winners too as they gave a tough fight.
